Plymouth City X 2012 Addon Complete

Development of the 2012 "closed" addon to Plymouth City has now finished and is in Beta.  New and updated models designed for the 2012 addon are being applied to the main "2011" version where necessary for a huge update coming soon.

Check back frequently for more information.  Current estimated release is end of August/beginning of September.  The update and addon will be released on AVSim as well as being a downloadable update through the Options program.

Plymouth City X Update Released

An update has been released for Plymouth City X to make the scenery files ready for the upcoming 2012 addon.  This brings the scenery version to 3.14.  If the scenery has never been updated before, run the Options program and click Check for updates.  If the scenery has been updated before, running the Options program should display the update alert.  Follow that through and the scenery will be ready for the next release.

Plymouth City X Version 3 Released

The latest version of Plymouth City X has now been released.  It is currently for FSX only and may be downloaded from AVSIM here.  It is the last full version of the airport pre-closure that will be released.  It includes an options program to enable/disable certain features.  A PDF manual is also included for added information.

Air Southwest Repaints Released

The final version of the Air Southwest repaint set has now been released.  It can be downloaded for FSX and FS9 from the Downloads page.  Installation instructions are included in the zip files.  Please note this is for the Majestic Software Dash 8-300 only and will not work with any other addon.

The Future of Plymouth

As some are aware, Plymouth City Airport will be no more come December 2011.  Air Southwest has already been pulled out and will be stopping flights from Newquay before the end of September.  With this information, Air Southwest Virtual has also closed its doors, so we have altered the site slightly.  We have now removed the Air Southwest pages and placed the repaints page under its own section.

Soon a new Air Southwest repaint pack will be released to include all 5 aircraft of the fleet in their final colours before sale, and also a "concept" livery designed to take the place of the older well-known paint.  This design was based on G-WOWB by Air Southwest and has now been brought to life in FS9 and FSX.  Check out the Repaints pages to find out more.  The concept livery is dedicated to the flight and cabin crews of Air Southwest for their excellent service and hospitality on board.  We wish them all the best for the future.

Plymouth City X for FS9 Pulled from Downloader

We have discovered that the FS9 version of Plymouth City X is causing a few problems for certain users.  We will therefore be removing it from the downloader but will make it available for self-download from the downloads page soon.  Once the update for FSX is complete and applied to the FS9 version we will bring it back onto the downloader.

New Website

Our new website has now been installed and we're back up and running!  The new CMS website means we'll be able to dynamically add, change or remove content as required with ease.  Some things are still to come like aircraft repaints, sounds, tools and graphical enhancements.  A forum is also to follow.

We've also teamed up with Air Southwest Virtual to provide a complete set of works when flying with them.  You can find more information in the Air Southwest area, which will itself be populated with more over time.
